What good news for a change, may you delight in your time on London together, doing the necessary greiving and celebrating the fact that you brought this sweet little boy into the world snd what momentary joy it was, and how hard to acknowledge the tragic loss. May you be strong in your lives together to support and love each other with respect and peace. You are Loved.
Jess, We will be following you to London as soon as school breaks up to see James’s painting. Hopefully it will be nice and cool for you inside the Royal Academy, thinking of you both xxx Safe travels and lots of love J xxx
It's 5 am. Back home. Woke to the sound of heavy rain. I could feel the garden's sigh of relief; a thirst being quenched. Just made the mistake of post-publishing re-read. Some rather shoddy grammar/spelling. Sorry about that. Always go to pieces when going away. Relieved to be home after being boiled in the London. We walked around clinging to shade and anywhere with air con. The exhibition left us speechless for some time afterwards. It feels like a dream now. I expected to walk in and burst into to tears. But actually I just couldn't stop smiling. More words on that and the second half of a hard lesson in planting bulbs coming soon. If you can't get to London to see the Young Artist Summer Show you can have a look at the online exhibition. We were told there 21,000 entries. About 500 hundred online and 280 on display at the RA. A huge achievement for James. And all the pieces were incredibly fascinating and inspiring. It's so good for us to see how children see the world. Still bursting with pride and relieved to be home. Thank you for reading and for sharing.
